Who Should attend:
This course is for current first line managers who have already undertaken the 2 day Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme course and are still current within their 5 year cycle.
Aims:
To bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a range of topics many building on the previous two-day course programme as well as introducing new subjects. Be aware of and able to implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affect them in their role as a supervisor. Be aware of and able to implement new guidance and industry of best practice. Be more aware of their duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment.
Course Content:
- Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant regulations.
- Specific site issues, which include such topics as work at height.
- CoSHH, Noise and Vibration assessment.
- Tool Box Talks (Short Duration Training).
- Control of subcontractors.
- Health issues.
- Overview of Environmental Legislation.
Candidate Assessment:
Continuous assessment by the trainer with an end of course multiple choice assessment and group assessment exercises.
Qualification
On successful completion of the course and final exam the candidate will receive an industry recognised CITB certificate valid for 5 years.
